5am up with baby...let mom sleep... watched astronauts play in space cause nothing else was on...bailey says that I would be watching them anyway...geeked out...cause somebody has to care that they now have a robot in space...Called Dexter...and it's a kit...just fly in space and assemble...kinda like xmas morning...but you cant just drive to home depot if you forget a screw...or it floats away...that would suck...where's page two of the instructions I just put it down...nooooooo.... i wonder if model glue smells in space...??? |

Cancer update
So yet again I go under the knife... This time it's a squamous cell carcinoma...April 24th at Uconn Dermatology...hopefully the MOS surgery will be small and simple...it's outpatient so I dont have to stay there... My sister Lynne is having her surgery Thursday the 19th in Hawaii...hopefully hers goes well too...she has had several surgeries that we quite extensive...That comes from growing up in Hawaii and being so fair skinned... |

The day I fell off the earth
So a work friend of mine has a house in Massachusetts. The river behind her house is frozen 2 feet thick ish. She cleared a 20 by 50 ice rink out of it and thru a barbeque on Sunday. Leo has no business ice skating...I dont even have skates...and running shoes dont work real well... My foray into low earth orbit was short. I had the trajectory all wrong. Calculated in meters instead of feet and struck the earth... When I sat up, i checked the back of my head with my hand...and found a systems leak...vital fluids we not where they were supposed to be... I was able to walk back up to the house to survey the damage...nice lump...and about a 2 inch scrape. We were able to stop the bleeding and I sat down for awhile to regain my senses. Watched the rest of the Daytona 500...what is it with that particular race...the past 3 years someone has crossed the finish line upside down...this year he was on fire too...what next?!?!? the last 3 laps they will allow the fans to lob mortars at the track???? So we packed up mom and kid and headed home...and stopped by UCONN med center to have my head examined...the CT scan was ok...so no overnight stay...no staples or stiches...just normal wound care and take it easy... So my neck muscles are really pissed at me right now... gotta go to work... Aloha all...really im fine. |

I truely have fallen off the planet of LJ
I havent posted for almost 1 month. Taking care of Kiana & work and stuff has eaten up most of my time. kinda miss going to fighter practice and seeing people. winter sucks. its too cold and windy. Our car is dying a slow death...the check engine light is on. I cannot take Kiana anywhere in my truck...no room for car seat. That sucks...probably going to end up getting rid of Squeak. and getting something else. bleh |

So we are all sick...and just in time for Thanksgiving... Kiana looks so pathetic when she is sick... :( poor thing cant even blow her nose...we have to suck it out with a plunger... Dr gave us meds for her and she is doing better... but now im awake cause I cant sleep and cough at the same time... bleh... |
